Digital Download Available for True Detective Season 2, DVD & Blu-ray in January

The digital downloads for Season 2 of True Detective are available now on iTunes and Amazon in both high-definition and standard-definition.  The DVD and Blu-ray will be available on January 5th, 2016.

In addition to the 8 episodes, the digital and the DVD/Blu-ray versions have a 30 minute video of the making of “The Vinci Massacre” from episode 4 as well as aerial images of California landscapes scored by T Bone Burnett.

The DVD/Blu-ray will also have a behind-the-scenes look at the production featuring interviews with Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams & Taylor Kitsch.  Another bonus will be audio commentaries with the four stars, series creator/executive producer/writer Nic Pizzolatto and executive producer Scott Stephens.

For those that have not watched Season 2 yet, it stars Colin Farrell (Golden Globe winner for In Bruges) as Ray Velcoro, a troubled detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him. Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers) portrays Frank Semyon, a criminal and entrepreneur in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner. Rachel McAdams (Midnight in Paris) plays Ani Bezzerides, a sheriff’s detective whose uncompromising ethics put her at odds with others and the system she serves. Taylor Kitsch (HBO’s The Normal Heart) portrays Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and a highway patrol motorcycle officer, running from a difficult past and the sudden glare of a scandal that never happened.
